Acceptable use policy
Last updated: 21 August 2026
This policy sits alongside our terms and conditions and applies to everyone who uses Profio, including invited colleagues, accountants and agents.
1. Prohibited content
- Malware, executable files disguised as invoices, or content designed to disrupt the Service.
- Content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes someone else's rights.
- Personal data about third parties that you have no lawful basis to upload.
2. Prohibited behaviour
- Sharing accounts, or using another member's credentials or recovery codes.
- Attempting to view, export or modify data belonging to an organisation you are not a member of.
- Automated scraping, load testing, or penetration testing without our written permission.
- Circumventing role permissions, rate limits or two-factor requirements.
3. Fair use
Invoice extraction, AI predictions and email reports are subject to fair use. We may apply limits where usage is materially beyond normal business use, and will contact the organisation owner before restricting anything.
4. Reporting and enforcement
Report abuse or a suspected security issue to security@profio.co.uk. We may remove offending content, suspend accounts or terminate access where this policy is breached, and will tell the organisation owner what happened where we lawfully can.
